I have SUCH exciting news! I just found out that my latest YA novel, 'The Girl in the Backseat' has been shortlisted for the MOONBEAM Award!! It's great to know that at least someone out there has read it!

Here's a list of my books published to date:

The Girl in the Backseat, Ronsdale, 2008. This is the story of a girl who is desperate to escape from a repressive religious community before she turns 14. She meets Jacob and Minerva who are on their way to Winnipeg so she stowaways in their Mini.

Boxcar Kid, Dundurn, 2007. The first wave of French Canadians arrive west to work in the mills in 1909 but the houses aren't finished, so four families make do with living in a boxcar set on a side track.

Sophie's Friend in Need, 2004, Dundurn. Sophie is really excited to go camping on Gambier Island until she finds out that her buddy for the week is going to be a strange and grouchy girl from Europe.

All the Way to Mexico, 2003, Raincoast. Jacob, age 12 is on a honeymoon. It's his mother's. Also on the honeymoon are his sister, and their mother's new husband and his 2 sons. The only way Jacob can cope on this car trip, All the Way to Mexico is to dream about the terrific soccer games he'll have once he arrives.

Criss cross, Double Cross, 2002, Dundurn. Sophie tries to adjust to her new home in Maillardville in 1950, but her enemy, Elizabeth won't stop teasing her and calling her 'Frenchie-Peasoup.' How can Sophie get back at her?

Fuzzy Wuzzy, 2002, Coteau. Ruby's curly hair is driving her crazy, especially since Mean old Miley has made up teasing raps about it.

I'll fill you in on my other books later.
